Simple Human delivers to you a travel bag of tunes, containing experience and influence from far off shores. First stop in the Simple Human journey, Thailand and their self produced EP, ‘From Pak Chong With Love’.

Simple Human are Boomio Sound and M:Tron. Both DJ’s, club night hosts, band members and party people in their own right, ‘From Pak Chong With Love’ is their first combined foray into songwriting after a long and varied history of making good with other people’s tunes.

Since meeting behind the decks at Auckland club Cassette Nine in 2009, the pair have gone on to collaborate locally in the Auckland club scene taking their DJ skills, party planning and floor filling ability around the country, including sets at festivals Rhythm & Vines and Splore. Deciding to broaden their horizons for international climates in early 2013, the duo have flown the New Zealand coop, embarking on a journey to capture the essence, sights and sounds of their new found encounters.

‘From Pak Chong With Love’ features the sounds and influence of Pak Chong and Chiang Mai – both cities an inland cultural mix of organic beauty and man-made progress. Samples and local sounds gathered from their travels make up the mix with the EP being produced portably on the road, via trains and planes around South East Asia.

Boomio Sound & M:Tron Bomb met in 2009 in Auckland, NZ. In January 2013 they left NZ and moved to London, via a 4 month decompression in S.E Asia. They used the 4 months to focus on music and created the 4 track EP ‘From Pak Chong With Love’ which was recorded in various stages in numerous locations, as Simple Human.
